Black Cat and Raven

The wizard has left his study, leaving his 2 companions alone.  Who is going to be the boss? The Raven, perched atop the wizard's books of spells, keeps his beady eye on the fluffy black kitten. The kitten is either being bold or is he raising a paw in defeat?  Moonlight streams through a stained glass window, its glass panels forms in designs of cobwebs and rich red roses.
