Castle Nightingale looms out of the night, both intimidating and full of promise. Three ninjas have slipped inside, searching for the fabled treasure hidden within...yet a vigilant samurai patrols the halls, watching and listening for intruders.
Castle Nightingale is a tense two-player game of stealth and deduction set within a shadowy castle.
One player controls a team of three ninja thieves, sneaking through secret passages to steal relics. The other plays a watchful samurai, patrolling the halls and using sound and movement to track them down. The ninja must steal five relics to win, while the samurai aims to capture all three ninjas first.
Each turn, both players secretly choose action cards, with the samurai also selecting a hidden nightingale tile. As ninjas move through the castle, they leave behind footsteps — clues that can either aid their escape or reveal their position if they cross the wrong coloured space. When revealed, the samurai can strike quickly, using the castle’s layout to their advantage.
With asymmetric movement, hidden information, clever bluffing, and one-use equipment that can turn the tide, Castle Nightingale delivers a cat-and-mouse duel full of tension and smart decision-making.
