Leisure Days No. 8: Scarborough North Bay

A nostalgic 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle that brings to life Scarborough’s North Bay Pool. The North Bay pool opened in 1935, originally not as a bathing pool, instead visitors rode around in small motorboats! Three years later it opened for bathers, an era when inflatables were allowed in the water, with Victorian changing rooms and even a mangle to wring out your cossie! The visitors in this scene are enjoying the sunshine whilst the seagulls hover above, wondering if they might find a snack to steal!
