The Guerrilla Generation
The Guerrilla Generation: Cold War Insurgencies in Latin America is the second COIN multipack, bringing together four standalone games that explore a range of insurgencies across Central and South America between 1968 and 1992.
Building on The British Way, this collection examines how different insurgent movements operated — from popular rural uprisings and flexible urban guerrillas to externally supported raids and rigid ideological campaigns. Inspired in part by the revolutionary wave that followed the events depicted in Cuba Libre, each game highlights a distinct approach to rebellion, allowing players to compare strategies, organisation, and relationships with civilian populations.
The four included games cover conflicts in Uruguay (1968–1972), Nicaragua (1979–1990), El Salvador (1979–1992), and Peru (1980–1992). The Nicaragua and El Salvador titles can also be combined into a linked campaign, offering a unique side-by-side experience of overlapping conflicts.
Designed for both accessibility and depth, this multipack provides a varied and insightful look at insurgency during the Cold War, with each game offering its own challenges and strategic character.
